Roman Reigns Confesses To Violating WWE's Wellness Policy, Reason Behind Losing The Title

6/21/2016

Former WWE Champion Roman Reigns tweeted an apology to his friends and family for an apparent violation of WWE's stern wellness policy:

I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.

This man needs your help.
In all seriousness though, Reigns himself being the first announcement of this proves how is owning up to the situation. The dirtsheets didn't even get wind of it and it was kept under wraps well enough.

This does damper Dean Ambrose's recent rise to glory, however. It begs the question if Ambrose would be champion at all had Reigns not been caught. Regardless of whether it was by design or by fate, Ambrose is a deserved champion and Reigns - kayfabe or otherwise - would most likely agree with that.

At this time, we aren't sure what the drug used in the matter was. It could be a simple recreational substance or a performance enhancer.

Regardless, Reigns will serve his punishment respectfully and continue to deliver five star quality matches despite some members of the crowd refusing to believe it.
