From bodybuilding straight to television, Jessie Godderz had anything but a humble start to his career. He's not exactly the person most internet writers would applaud in an article.
Uninformed outsiders might still view him as more Hollywood than substance, but make no mistake, Godderz is a talent ready for the next level.

Work-rate is one of those phrases created in the nineties when the internet was held together by AOL free trial subscriptions. However, it's still an essential part in how a wrestler performs and is reviewed.
Those who haven't been keeping tabs on Godderz may not know what his in-ring ability has transformed into.
Here's a list of moves and transitions he performed in TNA's recent Beer Money Tag Team Invitational:
HOLY S**T.
That was just off of a hot tag.
All of that was done in a minute and a half span.
Now, there's your work-rate, New Japan fans.
This f*cking guy is busting out standing frankensteiners and half of the wrestling community doesn't know about it.

He doesn't have the indy cred of a Seth Rollins or the fighting legitimacy of a shooter like Brock Lesnar. Godderz isn't that type of performer; he's an entirely unique beast.
The closest character he resembles is Scott Steiner. Yes, we all know about that Scott Steiner. Under the surface of the genetic freak was an athletic machine. Godderz has the physique, athleticism, and tone of Steiner's work.
He already has that ridiculous but entertaining persona underneath the physical exterior. He's brash and arrogant with an angry demeanor in the ring. He's nimble and yet powerful. He even has a simple but aesthetically effective submission finisher; his own Boston Crab to match Steiner's camel clutch.
These traits can work for both babyface fire and heel heat. He has the complete package to fit almost any position on the card.
He's even a tag team specialist with two title reigns, which makes him even more versatile.
The main-event is where Jessie's future lies though. He has the face of a company leader, just not the experience yet. Once TNA pulls that trigger and elevates him, they have a star in the making. He's not a WWE retread, he's not a superstar free agent; he's a homegrown talent that only TNA invested in.
Godderz is more than comfortable portraying a character on television and he's becoming an unusual spectacle in the ring.
Case in point, Jessie Godderz is a next-level talent TNA is fortunate to have. It's main-events and world championships from here on out or bust.
