What's scarier: a psychopath in the body of a children's toy or a children's toy with violent programming? The answer: whatever one is in your house at the moment. Run for your life! (Image Courtesy of: cinemablend.com)
Quick Take: Child's Play (1988) establishes its premise well and execute with just brutal fun that it works. The insane premise is carried by a tightrope walk of comedy and horror that does not fall flat at any point. It is made only for slasher fans.

Quick Take: Child's Play (2019) is a fascinating modern revamp of the original that uses technology better while still keeping the gory fun. It is not as focused and complete an experience, but it is still closer to the original than most of the sequels.

The biblical reference in the title is not lost, but this is a far more interesting story than that one disciple no one liked turning on Jesus. (Image Courtesy of: comicbookdebate.com)
Quick Take: Judas and the Black Messiah is a scarier movie than many horror films, blending together genuine history with a sense of rising tension that never ceases. It is so well done that you honestly forget it's best on a true story until the ending where it all comes crashing down in a manner that cannot be forgotten.

Quick Take: Raya and the Last Dragon is best movie Disney Animations has produced since Zootopia, and it has modern flair that makes it feel more relevant than many of its peers. With a beautifully crafted world and story combined with endearing characters, it is a movie that children and adults can both enjoy.

If you look closely, you can see all the different horrible things that will torment these girls because they couldn't just be smart. Lesson plenty learned. (Image Courtesy of: hbo.com)
Quick Take: Annabelle Comes Home may not be as tightly composed as Annabelle: Creation, but it does have as many scares while also setting up more threats for future Conjuring installments. It is big, dramatic, and dark if a little cliched.

AEW Revolution 2021 had much to live up to. It was the first major pay-per-view on the All Elite Wrestling calendar. The 2020 edition of AEW Revolution was one of the best modern wrestling shows. Plus it was a show in the midst of the Road to WrestleMania.

In every aspect, this needed to be a win, and ultimately it was. However, a few hiccups hurt the work of the talent as well as giving fuel to those that gladly criticize AEW.

When you make promises, you have to deliver. AEW unfortunately missed the mark on that, leaving fans with a show that was good but ended with a disappointment that could haunt the brand for months and years to come.
